Do I need a pool heater when I use an Aqua-TEC unit?

In cases where it is acceptable to wait for several days for the pool to come up to temperature, the Aqua-TEC pool heating dehumidifier can often eliminate the need for a separate pool heater. The avoided cost of the heater will generally offset the cost of this option in the Aqua-TEC unit (and result in a substantial annual operating cost savings thereafter). For larger commercial pools, where rapid recovery time after filling or partial filling is important to the business, a separate pool heater is recommended for use only as a back-up and to allow for rapid recovery. A back-up heater is required for any facility that cannot accommodate downtime or where conductive heat loss from the pool dictates additional heating capacity.
